MS: New Update strategy starts now

Tomorrow Microsoft starts using the same update strategy for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1, as they do for Windows 10.

All updates will be installed as one cumulative update.

Microsoft: A New Era of IT

Today we are ready for the Keynote for Microsoft “A New Era of IT”.

After today’s program at “Tivoli Congress Center” I’m heading for Microsoft Campus Days 2012 where I have 2 speaker sessions. One about Windows Server 2012 DirectAccess and the new Network Features and one session with my fellow colleague Ronni Pedersen about a customer case: Windows Server 2012.

Again this year I will be located at the Ask The Expert (ATE) booth, so come and join me for a small talk about the new opportunities.

Hope to see you!

Build IT Better….with System Center 2012

Hi,

Yesterday I had a session at my firm’s one day seminar BUILD IT BETTER!

I talked about System Center 2012, Windows Server 2012 and Windows Intune and how the products can help our customers in driving their business forward to be more productive.
Next seminar will be near Copenhagen (Rungsted) and it’s free for everyone. So please come join us.

I still remember Brad Anderson’s Word from MMS 2012, “Lead, don’t follow“. I’m trying my best.

See you.

TechNet DK Advent Calendar 16. December

Good morning,

While we’re all waiting for the upcoming beta of Windows Server 8 and Windows 8, we can get a sneak peak of what we can expect from the new Windows Server at http://www.buildwindows.com. The answer for todays question can also be found at technet.com.

Topic: Windows Server 8 Hyper-V

Todays questions:

  1. My last question in this Advent Calendar was about concurrent live migrations and storage migrations in Hyper-V 3.0. Windows Server 8 is truely an operation system made for the cloud 😉 but what kind of shared storage is needed to perform live- and storage migrations?
  2. Where is the pre-release of Windows Server 8 available for download?

UPDATE: Todays winner is………Jesper Østerdal, Hoffmann A/S

Correct answer: Hyper-V in Windows Server 8 does not require shared storage and Windows Server 8 can be downloaded from MSDN.

Have a nice day 😉
