Microsoft: A New Era of IT

Today we are ready for the Keynote for Microsoft “A New Era of IT”.

After today’s program at “Tivoli Congress Center” I’m heading for Microsoft Campus Days 2012 where I have 2 speaker sessions. One about Windows Server 2012 DirectAccess and the new Network Features and one session with my fellow colleague Ronni Pedersen about a customer case: Windows Server 2012.

Again this year I will be located at the Ask The Expert (ATE) booth, so come and join me for a small talk about the new opportunities.

Hope to see you!

Build IT Better….with System Center 2012

Yesterday I had a session at my firm’s one day seminar BUILD IT BETTER!

I talked about System Center 2012, Windows Server 2012 and Windows Intune and how the products can help our customers in driving their business forward to be more productive.
Next seminar will be near Copenhagen (Rungsted) and it’s free for everyone. So please come join us.

I still remember Brad Anderson’s Word from MMS 2012, “Lead, don’t follow“. I’m trying my best.

See you.

Blogcast: Windows Server “8”

Looking into the the near future we’ll see the first BETA of Windows Server “8” and we’ll be introduced to a lot of new interesting technology and updated roles/features. With this blogcast I’ll try to help understanding these new features and what Windows Server “8” technology can do to help companies “work smarter”.

I do not know the exact date for the BETA release but I assume we’ll see it before the end of this year.

Some of the things I’ve planned to cover are:

  • Install Methods
  • Full GUI vs no GUI with Server Core
  • Installing roles and features
  • Multi-Server Management with the New Server Manager
  • Active Directory
  • Hyper-V v3
  • Branch Cache
  • DFS
  • File system and security/Classification
  • Deduplication
  • Windows To Go
  • DirectAccess
  • Powershell
  • ….and a bunch of other news

But for now let’s enjoy the new simplified Metro style logon and UI
